While the news media focuses on the bombing suspects and every detail of their lives, the victims of the Boston bombings are struggling to recovery and return to their lives.  Aaron Hern, one of the youngest victims of the blast, returned home to continue his recovery.

He has gone through surgery and has 100 staples in his leg.  His eardrum has been shattered and he still can’t hear very well.  The town of Martinez has rallied around the family whose medical bills will be sky high once this over.  They’ve had donation drives to help with those costs.

Famous folks have stepped up to help Aaron through this trying time too.  Members of the Oakland A’s visited Aaron in the hospital.  Barack and Michelle Obama stopped in to see how he was doing. Every little bit that each person whether famous or not does for the victims will help to heal the pain.

And now the Golden State Warriors have given him a night to remember.  They invited Aaron and his family to be their special guest at the playoff game in Oakland.  He was given VIP treatment and got to meet the players.  He had great seats.  And, to top it off the Warriors won the game and the series, sending them off to the next round of the playoffs.

Maybe they should keep Aaron around for good luck 🙂
