Bone Marrow Patient and Donor Celebrate One Year Anniversary

You may not know it but only about 40% of the people waiting for a bone marrow transplant find a donor match.  The number is worse for Asian Americans.  DNA markers differ between ethnic groups and there are less Asians in the donor database. 13 year Vicky Tran is one of the lucky ones.  She suffers from leukemia and a year ago needed a bone marrow transplant.  A donor was found fairly easily.  Even more remarkable is that they both…
